The presence of calcium & magnesium (known as hardness) lead to the formation of scale which in turn results into clogging of pipelines and fixtures, scaling of boiler tubes, cooling towers fins, solar heater coils or stains on fabric. The water softeners manufactured by us remove this hardness in feed water & prevent scale formation on the water and ensures optimum heat transfer & efficient performance. |

Shivam Softeners are based on Ion Exchange process. Shivam Standard package softening plant are compact, self contained system comprising of one MSEP(mild steel epoxy painted) pressure vessel /FRP vessels with FRP frontal piping /MSEP(mild steel epoxy painted)frontal piping with Shivam brand strong Acid Cation exchange resin in the sodium form. The resin eliminates dissolved ions like calcium & magnesium from water, producing high quality soft water. Shivam softener are available as up flow & down flow models. custom built units for higher flow rates, which is supplied with salt preparation tank with injection system. The unit is available in manual and automatic option. |

The stereotypical water-softening equipment designed for household use depend on an ion-exchange resin wherein, hardness ions exchange places with sodium ions that are electrostatically bound to the anionic functional groups of the polymeric resin. Zeolites, a class of minerals, also exhibits ion-exchange properties and these minerals were extensively used in the initial water softeners. |
