COOLING TOWER WATER TREATMENT CHEMICALS.

 
SWT-121 ( MULTIPURPOSE WATER TREATMENT CHEMICAL ) :-
 

SWT - 121 is an advanced synthetic liquid formulation designed to control scale, corrosion and inorganic fouling in open recirculation water system. SWT - 121 is also specially designed to prevent deposits by calcium, magnesium, and silica. SWT -121 minimizes fouling problems by dispersive saturation of water soluble minerals. SWT – 121 helps to clean the metallic oxide deposits maintaining the heat transfer surface.

USE

SWT - 121 is mainly used in DG set, open cooling system, heat exchanger and its jacket cooling system, AC plant cooling system, Laminate plants, Oil Mills cooling system, Air compressor cooling system, Distillation plant cooling System etc. The product SWT - 121 is synthetic organic antifoulant in habiting the deposition of fouling materials. It is an organophosphate with multi functional properties like sequestration and deflocculating and inhibition.
(Sequestration is a complex formation by certain phosphate with metallic ions in solution.)

DOSAGE

SWT - 121 dosages will vary with water quality and different parameters of cooling system. Exact treatment program can be suggested after studying them.

HANDLING

SWT - 121 must be handled with care. Contact with skin should be avoided. If contact with eyes, flush with water and get prompt medical treatment.

 
SWT - 24 ( COOLING WATER CORROSION INHIBITOR ) :-
 

SWT - 24 cooling water treatment is a corrosion inhibitor for protecting, recirculationing, cooling and heating water system.  SWT - 24 is also useful for chilling plant corrosion inhibitor.

APPLICATIONS

SWT - 24 is an effective corrosion inhibitor for all ferrous and non ferrous metal. If the cooling system is found to be contaminated, with spal it must be chemically cleaned before treatment.

SWT - 88 & SWT - 99 ( CONTROL ON ALGAE, BACTARIAL & FUNGUS ) :-
 

In cooling system algae, bacterial & fungus are most important things. Due to sunlight and sand particles in cooling tower water all are generate like anything.  SWT - 88 & SWT - 99 are extremely effective against all types of algae, bacterial & fungus. This chemicals are especially formulated for use in large industrial cooling system and for treating water used for oil well injection.

DOSAGE

Generally SWT - 88 and SST- 99 are to be dosage alternate basis every week at the concentration of 50 ppm on the basis of total holding capacity of cooling tower basin.

HANDLING

Keep the container closed when not in use. The product should not be contact with skin, eyes and if it comes then clean with cold water and get medical attention immediately.

CONCLUSION

  1. For cooling tower circuit total water volume of the basin will be changed by fresh water within week time.

SWT - 47 ( CLOSE WATER CORROSION INHIBITOR ) :-
 

SWT – 47 is a liquid polymerize compound with organic corrosion inhibitor for scale, corrosion and cavitation control in closed recirculation cooling water system. SWT -47 is easily soluble in water. The product is from chromate.

DIRECTION FOR USE

  1. SWT - 47 liquid is a highly effective corrosion inhibitor for all the common ferrous and non-ferrous metal in cooling water system using distilled water, DM water RO water or raw water.
  2. SWT - 47 will protect ferrous metal, copper & copper alloys & some components of aluminum.
  3. SWT - 47 is compatible with glycol base solution.
  4. SWT - 47 has been field tasted and found to have no detrimental effect on non metallic substance such as a oil seal, hoses, gland, gasket used in these system.
  5. The product is alkaline which is reduce corrosion effect in cooling system due to higher temperature.
  6. If the system is contaminated with scaling or oil, please descale the system with scale clean & flushed with water.

STORAGE & HANDLING

Keep the container closed when not in use harmful oxidizing substance if allowed. Irritating to eyes & skin repeated exposure may cause chronic eyes irritation defecting drying and cracking of skin. BOILER FEED WATER TREATMENT CHEMICALS
 
SWT- 62 ( OXYGEN SCAVANGER ) :-
 

SWT- 62 is used for remove dissolved oxygen from boiler feed water. The catalyst in SWT- 62 speedup the reaction with dissolved oxygen. This help in the fast and complete removal of oxygen from feed water. Reducing oxygen related corrosion of the boiler crum and steam pipeline.

USES    
       

SWT- 62 is the recommended formulation for preventing corrosion in boilers operating at low and medium pressures.

SWT-6244 ( MULTI PURPOSE WATER TREATMENT CHEMICALS ) :-
 

SWT- 6244 is a multi purpose water treatment chemical. This chemical is used for:

  • To remove dissolved oxygen from boiler feed water. The catalyst in  SWT- 6244 speeds up the reaction with dissolved oxygen.
  • As a sludge conditioner, the polymeric product in  SWT- 6244 produces light divided particles which are non adherent and can be easily removed with blow down.
  • As a corrosion inhibitor, antiscalant & oxygen scavengers

SWT- 6244 is recommended for formulation for:

  • Preventing corrosion in boilers operating at low and medium pressures.
  • High temperature inhibition.
  • Preventing deposits.
  • Reducing fuel costs.

DOSAGE

It will vary with feed water quality and operating conditions.

BLOWDOWNS

To ensure complete removal of sludge from the entire system, blow down of boiler should be done every shift,  SWT- 6244 prevents the total dissolved solids from exceeding the prescribed limits.

SWT- 101 ( PH BOOSTER ) :-
 

SWT- 101 is a PH Booster used for,

  1. Boiler feed water.
  2. To remove oxidation & prevent corrosion.

FUEL ADDITIVE CHEMICALS
 
SWT-175 :-
 

The fuel prices are rising fast and suppliers are become erratic in terms of quantity and quality. Hence it has become necessary to adopt procedures and techniques for more efficient usage of fuels. The main problem is encountered in storing and firing oils are :

1. Incomplete combustion – soot emissions.
2. Furnace well slogging.
3. Burner tip plugging and /or fouling.
4. Sludge accumulation in storage tanks.
5. Oil strainer plugging and oil heater fouling.

PRE-COMBUSTION

The problem that arise before actual burning of oils are related to pre-combustion. Fuel oil contains:

  • Different water and sediment content.
  • Different content of suppliers, sodium, vanadium, nickel and ash
  • Suspended particles of carbon, heavy  polymeric gums, resins and asphalt-ness.

( These settle. Down on storage take bottom and form water sludge blanket/layer )
 
The precisely controlled viscosity ensures uniform supply of oil to the burner. Due to this optimum fuel stomisation takes place leading to efficient combustion of fuel oil. Corrosion products increase sludge formation and these sludge particles pludge the oil strainers and hence fuel oil efficiency reduced. It also plug the burner tip causing unstable burner conditions.

Cleaning of sludge from tank bottom requires extensive maintenance-moreover the heat content of sludge is very near to that of fuel oil, so throwing it away is also wasteful.

Hence proper pre-combustion treatment for fuel oil is essential. This treatment of SWT-175 provides

  1. Water emulsification.
  2. Sludge dispersion and dissolution.
  3. Oil stabilization.
  4. Acid neutralization.
  5. Corrosion Protection.

COMBUSTION

POST COMBUSTION

Efficient burner working depends on oil temperature, viscosity, pressures (as-well as steam atomizing pressure.) some boiler operator attempt to reduce smoke and improve combustion by increasing excess air. But this small increase in combustion efficiency is off set usually by a high dry gas heat loss out of the stack.

Fuel additives SWT-175 functions as a combustion catalyst and increase

1. Combustion efficiency without raising air levels.
2. The rate of combustion by lowering the ignition point of fuel / air mixtures, without being consumed in the   reaction. These fore to improve combustions small quantities are essential.
The problems of post combustion include
Slugging and corrosion in the furnace area.
Fouling and plugging of pre-heater, economizer etc.

Fuel Additives SWT-175 is a tailor made chemical compound which when added to furnace oil increases the performance of the furnace oil.

CONCLUSION

SWT-175 helps in following ways, controls slag/sludge deposition and makes the furnace oil flow better leading to better combustion & oil efficiency. It gives better calorific value due to burning of wasly & asphaltic matters. Water emulsification present in the furnace oil helps to crack hydrocarbons thus adding to calorific valve. Dispersants and combustion catalysts controls soot deposition reducing the down time for nozzle. Reduction in fuel consumption.

APPLICATION

SWT-175 should be added in the storage tank or oil tanker at the time of tanker unloading.

DOSAGE

One liter of SWT-175 per 1000 liters of furnace oil.

HANDLING AND STORAGE PRECAUTIONS

SWT-175 must be handled with care. Keep SWT-175 in cool and dry place. Protect the eyes from it. Use of gloves is recommended while handling.

CONCLUSION

1. We claim for 100% shoot deposition in form of powder.
2. Increase furnace oil burning efficiency by 3.5%.

 
DESCALING CHEMICAL COMPOUND SWT - DC & SWT-NC :-
 

Our products are carefully emulsified with solvents and inhibitors which prevents corrosion and metal loss. With chemical cleaning the equipment achieves higher heat transfer gradient and  a considerable saving in fuel too. Ever the chemical is done up to 90%. Where within manual cleaning the result can not be achieved more than 60% to 65% and without appreciable change in the fuel consumption.

In our chemicals, use of corrosive inhibitor is to be made under correct conditions to protect the boiler equipment and pipelines and there is no side effect on metal parts coming with the chemicals. It contains silica removal chemicals which will definitely give better and sure cleaning effect. Descaling compound are stable.

Our descaling process is based on scientific principles and with our expertise. We have been able to remove all type of obstinate scale either in compressor D.G. sets A/C plant, machines, boiler drum, economizers, heat exchanger i.e. inlet & outlet pipe lines are connected with the help of a pump to a chemical holding tank.

With chemical cleaning the equipment achieves higher heat transfer and considerable saving in fuel an deficiency of system.

SWT-DC is mainly used in descaling of  boiler, heat exchanger equipment and for all types of metal pipe line, while SWT- NC is used for neutralizing all equipment after treatment with SWT-DC compound.

The cleaning method and time required depends on the character and thickness of the rust and scale, size of equipment to be cleaned, availability of recirculating equipment, concentration of SWT-DC temperature of solution and oily compound covering rust and scale. The heat exchanger equipment to be cleaned is filled with solution 5-10% SWT-DC chemical. This solution is circulating throughout the system for 8 to 12 hours. Maintain pH of recirculating solution around 1.5 to 2.0 by addition of SWT-DC chemical. The system is then flushed with fresh water which removed particulate matter & soluble salts. Then a 2 to 5% water solution of SWT-NC is circulated throughout the system for at least an hour t neutralize the acid and to its sequestering action. pH solution should remain above 9.0 drain the solution and flushj twise with fresh water.

HANDLING:

Keep the container closed when not in use. The product should not contact with the skin, eyes, and if it comes than wash with cool water.
